There is no
doubt Lanzarote is an island of contrasts. The general impression
is that of moving back and forward in time.
With the land
still being farmed by roman plough to modern music festivals,
rowing boats still in use for fishing to luxury yachts moored
in the harbours.
In short the
only thing that has not changed is the hospitality of it people.
Once home of César Manrique the famouse artist, who's influence
on the development of Lanzarote has helped it remain unspoiled.
